How did your journey as a holistic nutritionist begin?
My healing journey began as a teenager and this directed my focus and interest in nutrition from a young age. I’ve been studying nutritional sciences and holistic modalities ever since and have devoted my life’s work to helping people heal and upgrade through functional nutrition, mycotherapy and integrative lifestyle practices.
I studied Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences in my undergrad and then studied Holistic Nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. I’ve also been practicing and studying yoga for 10+ years. Yoga and meditation changed my life in a big way and continue to be a daily practice. I recently became a Kundalini Yoga teacher as well.
What have been some of the challenges along your journey?
I had a lot of digestive issues, IBS, allergies, parasites, mold, skin issues — you name it. We are always a work in progress. I have done so much healing in the past decade; gut healing was a large focus. Food, targeted protocols, supplements and lifestyle medicine did wonders for me.
